Grovana
The history of Grovana watches dates back to 1924, when it was founded by the Gröflin brothers and still bore their names at the time. In 1970, Werner Bitterli acquired the watch factory and gave it its current name, Grovana Uhrenfabrik AG.
In 2000, Grovana signed a license agreement for the production and worldwide sales of Revue Thommen watches, thus starting the production of exclusive manufacture movements. This new challenge led to the expansion of the factory building in Tenniken.
Grovana is still run today by the Bitterli family and is one of the few existing watch manufacturers that develop and produce their own wristwatches in the canton of Basel-Land. All watches are Swiss Made and handcrafted in the workshops in Tenniken. Grovana is currently present in the largest markets in the EU, USA and the Middle East. The company also has various business partners in 70 different countries.
For years, Grovana has used Swiss Ronda quartz movements, manufactured with the utmost precision and care. Many of them contain complex calibers with high-quality multifunctional functions.
A Swiss-made automatic movement is the heart of every Grovana mechanical watch. The precision, quality and reliability of Swiss watchmaking are validated by a 3-year international guarantee.
