Ebel watches. Beauty marries Function
In 1911, when Le Corbusier was already traveling the world, Eugène Blum and Alice Lévy created the EBEL watch brand in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the heart of the Swiss Jura. While Eugene is driven more by technique and functionality, his wife Alice is enthusiastic about beauty. The ideal combination that will remain the DNA of the house in its creations of timepieces of rare elegance, in compliance with the requirements of traditional Swiss fine watchmaking.
Ebel watches. The Architects of Time
In 1986, EBEL acquired an emblematic house with a rich watchmaking past which is one of the most innovative architectural constructions of its time. Designed by Le Corbusier, one of the pioneers of modern architecture, the acquisition of the villa was a choice dictated by both passion and reason for EBEL. Emblematic of its fundamental values and an important part of the international architectural heritage, it is now known as the “House of EBEL”. The Villa is indeed a source of inspiration for “haute horlogerie” enthusiasts and connoisseurs of architecture all over the world.
